This is what you will do

• As a cook, you work independently. You are co-responsible for the daily operations of the City Monastery kitchen. 
• Daily you take care of the lunch for 'Restaurant At Table' for the (hotel) guests of the City Monastery and any booked lunches for groups. On Thursday and Friday you participate in the preparation of dinner from the menu or according to our 'what's on the plate concept'.
• You are responsible for the (professional) preparation of dishes and the operational preconditions (stock management and call-off from predominantly regular suppliers) and you are able to independently plan the daily activities. 

Here's what we ask of you 

• You have work experience in a similar position or a completed chef training with relevant work experience in the kitchen. 
• You are familiar with regulations regarding hygiene (HACCP)
• You work in a structured way, are stress resistant and have a proactive attitude
• You are co-responsible for bringing a friendly work attitude appropriate to the atmosphere of the City Monastery.
• You are focused on delivering quality and are able to correct when it is inadequate. You are creative in coming up with solutions. 
• You are able to direct and coach others in addition to your own work. 
• You are willing to work flexible shifts, Monday through Sunday, including holidays

Salary is according to the collective bargaining agreement for the hospitality industry and depends on your specific experience in this position.
